Callie Martin
Get to know Callie:
Growing up as an active kid in the Midwest, I went on to play collegiate softball at the University of Missouri where I graduated with a bachelor's in health science and a minor in wellness. I now currently also hold certifications in nutrition coaching and personal training.
My passion has always surrounded health and wellness however, during my capstone in my final semester of college I took on the duties of an HR administrator, leading me into a permanent HR role and eventually working my way up to become an HR Manager.
During my time in HR, I built and ran a successful wellness program for the company I worked for but couldn't seem to find enough time in the day to dedicate the attention it deserved! I saw the positive impacts it was having directly on both the employer and the employees yet, when I spoke to HR professionals in other companies and industries, they also couldn't seem to find enough time to implement one consistently.
Diving deeper, I found that my discoveries were not by chance. Studies and data show integrated wellness programs have positive effects on the workplace including but not limited to, medical savings, reduced worker's compensation claims and spending, greater retention rates, improved productivity, efficiency, culture and company morale.
The importance and need in seeing what a properly developed wellness program could do for an organization eventually led me to step back from my HR position and into a full-time consulting role of wellness programming and personal training which is exactly what CallieFIT is!
This has allowed me to not only help other HR individuals and companies wanting to deliver personalized total wellbeing to the workplace but also aligns with my true passion of helping individuals both in and out of the workplace live as their best self!
